Gina Giugni from @lady.of.the.sunshine is a second generation biodynamic farmer and winemaker. She started Lady of the Sunshine in 2017 with a focus on regenerative, organic and biodynamic farming.
@gracewine named after winemakers Angela Osborne’s grandmother, is a culmination of sustainably grown grapes and biodynamic farming. Angela fell in love with the grape Grenache and the grape is the singular focus of her winemaking.
@marthastoumen was founded on the desire to recapture a farming and winemaking culture of patience. Her wines are made from unexpected varietals and aim to answer the question “what does California taste like”?
@zafawines is 100% woman-owned and has intentionally maintained at least 85% historically underrepresented employees. Named one of Wine Enthusiasts “40 under 40 Tastemakers” winemaker Krista Scruggs’s motto is “farm, forage, ferment”.
@jaimeemotleywines focuses on traditional Loire & Savoie varieties in California’s North Coast. She is truly shaking up Californias wine scene with a deep respect for natural processes and the teachings of mentors.
@johanvineyards wine-maker Morgan Beck is a Colorado native who joined the Johan team in 2015 and stepped into the winemaker position in 2018. She is always working towards a holistic/ regenerative system and aims to share the story of the growing season, the place and the people behind the wines each year.
@mcbridesisters is the largest Black-owned wine company in the United States and their mission has been clear since their culmination in 2015, “transform the industry, lead by example, and cultivate community, one delicious glass of wine at a time”.
These are just a few of the amazing women in wine and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Mother’s Day that to celebrate women!
